Hosting the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games will create a lasting legacy for our community, our economy and our environment in the lead up to the Games and the 10 years after.

In other words, making your region better, sooner, together through sport.

The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Legacy Plan is being developed to set a strategic vision for the legacy outcomes we want to achieve as a city, state, nation and Oceania region because we’re hosting the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

It will give us a framework for how all levels of government, and the Olympic and Paralympic movements, can work with the community to plan and make decisions in the years ahead

Elevate 2042: The Brisbane 2032 Legacy Consultation Paper summarises the nearly 14,000 legacy ideas that have been shared to date through the Hopes and Dreams survey, stakeholder engagement and the recent Brisbane 2032 Legacy Forum.

These ideas, gathered from people all across Australia, Oceania and beyond, have been used to help create the draft vision and themes for the Legacy Plan.

For more detail about the draft themes, focus areas and examples of ideas gathered so far, read the Elevate 2042: The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Legacy Consultation Paper.

Next steps

Feedback on the draft vision, themes and focus areas will all be considered as the final Brisbane 2032 Legacy Plan is developed.

The Brisbane 2032 Legacy Plan will be released later this year following endorsement by the Games Delivery Partners.

The Legacy Plan will be jointly delivered by the Games Delivery Partners including the Queensland Government, the Australian Government, Brisbane City Council, Sunshine Coast Council, City of Gold Coast, Council of Mayors (SEQ), Australian Olympic Committee, Paralympics Australia and the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee.
