Connecting Neighbourhood and Community Centres with the NDIS
What do you need to know about the NDIS?
We want to hear from all Community and Neighbourhood Centres about what information or assistance you need to help people with disability in your community to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and apply for supports. We also what to hear about any initiatives and/or relationships you have already started.
The Queensland Government is committed to ensuring all eligible people living with disability in our communities take up the opportunity to access the NDIS and access the supports they need over their lifetime.
We know the important role you play in providing referrals, helpful information, advocacy and general support for people in our communities, including those who are most vulnerable.
Our aim is to provide a useful portal for staff and volunteers where you can go to find out key information about the NDIS, and contact points for assistance.
We also hope to create a space where you can link with other centres about all things NDIS, and also link to your local NDIS Partners in the Community – Local Area Coordinators and Early Childhood Partners.
We will build information on this portal based on your feedback.
